9 Days trip To Chefchaouen Via Desert From Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech

After meeting at our agreed location, your journey will begin to explore some parts of the city. Included; the largest Hassan II Mosque, Place des Nations Unies and Couscous “Corric Road”… Then we will drive to Marrakech where you will have free time to explore the old city. Night in hotel or riad.

Day 2: Full day excursion to Marrakech

On the second morning, you will have breakfast accompanied by a local guide. You will visit the Menara Garden, a swimming pool surrounded by flowerbeds that serves as an irrigation system for the surrounding fields. The guided tour will include several impressive sites: the Koutoubia Mosque, the Majorelle Gardens, the Bahia Palace and the Dar Si Said Palace Jewelry Museum. You can possibly have lunch in the medina, then stroll through the colorful souks of Marrakech. Enjoy sunset drinks on the café terrace overlooking the exciting Jamaa El Fenna square, dinners and evenings at the hotel.

Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we drive southeast via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass through the High Atlas Mountains, looking down from the mountains towards the ancient Berber villages of the High Atlas. We will then visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site and you will have lunch in one of the restaurants of the Kasbahs. After a night in a hotel or a riad, we continue our visit of the Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Tindade – Sahara Desert of Merzouga.

After breakfast, we drive to Erg chebbi in the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the road. We will cross the Todra, Tengil, Tingedad and Erfoud gorges where we will feel the beginnings of the Tafilalete Sahara oasis. We then head to a hotel in Merzouga and after a few minutes rest you put some luggage in a small bag (just what you need for a night in the desert) and leave the rest at the hotel. Then we ventured out on a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. This is a great opportunity to capture sunset and sunrise photos. Once we arrive at the camp, we will hike to the highest sand dunes to sandboard and watch the sunset. We will spend the night, or watch, in a Berber nomad tent with drums in the middle of the Sahara.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA – ARFOUD – IFRANE – FES

Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch the sunrise at the top of the dunes in the Erg Chebbi desert before having breakfast. After these moments of joy, you return to your hotel by camel, where you will find your driver waiting for you. You will travel to Errachidia via the Erfoud, Aoufous and Ziz valleys before stopping to admire the Aoufous oasis in the Tafilalte region. We continue to Midert via TiziN’talghamt and have lunch. After lunch, you will drive straight through the cedar forests near Azrou and the Middle Atlas mountains to Fez (medieval town) with the possibility of seeing Barbary apes (monks). You can stop at Ifrane before reaching Fez. Night in hotel or riad.

Day 6: Full day visit to FES

On the second morning, after breakfast at your riad, you will begin to explore the medina with a local guide. You will visit many hidden gems known only to local residents. Fez, Morocco’s capital for more than 350 years, is home to Al Karaouine University, the oldest continuously operating university in the world. Your guide will take you to the tomb of Moulay Idris, the Nejjarine fountain and the tannery. After lunch, you will also see the exterior of the Royal Palace and walk through the famous Jewish quarter “Mellah”, where you will have the opportunity to visit one of the few remaining synagogues in Morocco. Your trip to Fez includes a short visit to the famous ceramic factory, before enjoying a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Fez medina. Night in your riad or hotel.

DAY 7: FES – CHEFCCHAOUEN

The next morning after breakfast, we leave for Chefchaouen (blue city), a popular tourist attraction in Morocco and a welcoming city in the Rif. This beautiful blue city is known for its traditional architecture. Take a stroll to explore the white and blue walls of the medina and the markets offering unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a great photography destination with stunning views of the Rif Mountains. Night in a hostel in Fuchaouen.

DAY 8: CHEFCHOUEN – TANGER – ASILAH

After breakfast, we continue our tour of Morocco towards Tangier to explore its old medina. You will also explore the Mediterranean beach and the Atlantic coast. We will visit the cultural city of Asilah. Asilah is famous for its annual art festival and most of the walls in the medina are painted by various famous artists from around the world. Your tour includes La Scala fortress, where you will experience the beauty of the medina and the sea. The night will be in a local riad.

Day 9: Asilah – Rabat – Casablanca

After breakfast we head to Rabat, the administrative capital of the country to visit Rabat, including the Royal Palace (exterior), the Hassan Tower, one of the monuments of the city ​​Fort Udayas. After visiting Rabat, we went to Casablanca. Overnight at your hotel.
