Itinerary Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakesh and City Tour

On the first day of your 5-day tour, you will arrive at Marrakesh Menara Airport, where you will be greeted by your tour guide. After a comfortable transfer to your hotel in Marrakesh, you will have some time to freshen up and relax. In the afternoon, you will embark on a city tour of Marrakesh, which is renowned for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Your first stop will be the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh and a stunning example of Almohad architecture. Next, you will visit the Saadian Tombs, which house the remains of members of the Saadian dynasty who ruled Morocco from 1549 to 1659. Finally, you will visit the Bahia Palace, a beautiful 19th-century palace that was built as a residence for a wealthy Moroccan nobleman. After the tour, you will have the rest of the evening to explore the city at your leisure or relax in your hotel. Overnight in Marrakesh.

Day 2: Marrakesh, Atlas Mountains, Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou,  Merzouga

In the second day of the 5 days from Marrakesh tour, the destination is the desert sahara of Merzouga. In the morning, you will leave Marrakesh and head to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. The journey will take you through the stunning Atlas Mountains, where we will make a stop at the Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This fortified village has been used as a filming location for many movies and it is a fascinating place to explore. From there, you will continue to the Todra Gorge, a beautiful canyon in the Atlas Mountains that is popular for its rock climbing and trekking opportunities. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Merzouga and check into our traditional Berber desert camp. Here, you will have the chance to relax and soak up the unique atmosphere of the Sahara before dinner. Overnight in Merzouga.

Day 3: Exploring the Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, nomadic Berber, Merzouga

On the third day of your tour, it’s your chance to experience the beauty of the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, you will embark on a camel trek into the desert, where you will see the spectacular sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. It’s a great opportunity to see the desert from a different angles and to enjoy the peace and quiet of of the Sahara. During the trek, you will visit a nomadic Berber family, where you can learn about their way of life and see how they have adapted to life in the desert. In the evening, you will return to your desert camp for dinner and a night under the stars. You will have the chance to enjoy traditional Berber music and dance around the campfire, making this a truly unforgettable experience. Overnight in Merzouga.

Day 4: Merzouga, Skoura, El Kelaa M’Gouna,  Marrakesh

On the fourth day of your tour, you will leave Merzouga and return to Marrakesh via the Dades Valley. On the way, you will stop at the charming villages of Skoura and El Kelaa M’Gouna, where you can see traditional mud-brick houses and lush palm groves. You will have the opportunity to have lunch in a local restaurant and sample some of the delicious local cuisine. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Marrakesh and check into your hotel. The evening is free for you to explore the famous Jemaa El Fna Square and its colorful market stalls, where you can sample street food, shop for souvenirs, and soak up the lively atmosphere of this bustling city. Overnight in Marrakesh.

Day 5: Departure from Marrakesh

On the final day of your tour, you will have some time to relax and reflect on your experiences over the last few days. If you have any last-minute shopping to do or sights to see, you can use this time to do so. In the late morning, you will be transferred to Marrakesh Menara Airport for your flight back home, bringing an end to your 5-day Marrakesh to Desert Camel Trek Adventure Tour.
