Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Morocco tour begins with breakfast and departure to Merzouga passing through the Middle Atlas mountains noted for their altitude, which reaches 2,178 m and through the cedar forests. We will visit the Cedars of Ifrane, a charming ski resort, and pass through Azrou, a beautiful artisan village specializing in carpentry. We will arrive in Midelt and have something to eat there before continuing on to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves. Finally we will arrive at the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Night in tent
After breakfast, we will head to the village of Khamlia to enjoy a small concert of live Gnawa music. Then we will continue the path passing through an off-road that is a tour of the sand dunes. On the way we will make a stop to have a glass of tea with nomads in Berber tents, spend some time with them and have a first impression of their lifestyle. Afterwards we will return to the hotel to rest a bit and begin our trip on dromedaries towards the center of the dunes. Once there, we will enjoy the sunset, with dinner and night included under a nomadic tent.
Day 3: Merzouga – Erfoud – Boumalne Dades – Dades Valley
It is worth waking up early to attend an unforgettable sunrise, with the color of the dunes and the shadows creating impressive views. After attending this unique moment, we will return to the hotel, have breakfast and take a shower. Then we will continue to Boumalne Dades via Rissani and Erfoud, this last city famous for its fossil marble workshops, which we will visit before continuing the route to the impressive Todra Gorges, an ideal place to walk and explore. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Breakfast and departure along the path of the thousand kasbahs passing through the palm grove of Skoura and Ouarzazate, a city also called “Hollywood of Morocco”. On the way we will stop to visit the famous Kasabah of Taourirt, the Kasabah of Tifoultout and the film studios, where world-famous films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, Gladiator…etc have been filmed. On the way to Marrakech, we will stop at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, end of the Morocco tour from Fes.
