Day 1: ARRIVAL IN FEZ
Upon arrival at Fez airport you will find our guide waiting for you, ready to take you to spend a night in one of our charming riads.
Day2: VISIT OF THE CITY OF FEZ
After breakfast, we will visit the city of Fez, cultural and religious center of the country, with a local guide. We will dedicate this day to discovering this intellectual and imperial city of the kingdom. In Fez there are several historical monuments that you can visit: Medersas (Koranic Schools): Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin. Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (first university in the world). Free time and night in riad.
Day3: FES – IFRANE – MONKEY FOREST – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT
After breakfast we will go to the desert of Merzouga crossing the Middle Atlas, passing through a beautiful national park famous for its cedar forest where the famous Barbary apes are found climbing the trees. We will then cross the Ziz Valley, which will lead us to Erfoud, the city of fossils. Many scenes from the mummy movie were filmed here. Arrival to the desert through Merzouga, also called the jewel of the desert due to its impressive views and its immense orange dunes. There we will change the 4×4 for dromedaries that will take us on a pleasant ride through the dunes to the haima camp in the heart of the desert where we will be received, according to the tradition of the Sahara, with a Berber tea. Night in haimas under a blanket of stars.
Day 4: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGE -DADES VALLEY
It is worth getting up early to attend a magnificent sunrise among the desert dunes. After breakfast we will return on camels to Merzouga, we will take a shower and we will leave in 4 × 4 in the direction of Tinghir, the city of the mountain in Tamazight, another beautiful Berber town where we will delight ourselves with the contrast of its palm groves and its houses painted pink. . Then we will continue the route and the landscape will continue to show us its contrasts. Arrival at the impressive Todra gorges, formed by rocky walls over 200m high and with a crystal clear river flowing through the gorge. After this visit we will go to the Dades Valley, a Berber town also famous for its towering gorges, its beautiful landscapes and its views of the Atlas, now on the horizon. Night in riad.
Day5: DADES VALLEY – VALLEY OF ROSES – OUARZAZATE – AÏT BEN HADDOU – THE PORT OF TICHKA – MARRAKECH
Today we will start our day crossing the Dades Valley and the Valley of the Roses, until we reach the capital of cinema Ouarzazate, where we will visit the famous kasbah of Taourirt, which has been the residence palace of Pasha Glaoui and stands out for its architecture and decoration. After a journey of 25 km of road, we will arrive at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In addition, thanks to its architecture, it has been the scene of super film productions such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Protective Sky” or “Babel”… etc. We will leave this kasabah behind heading towards Marrakech, passing through the road that crosses the great port of Tichka, where the highest port reaches more than 2,260 meters high and offers wonderful views. Day6 : VISIT OF MARRAKECH
After breakfast we will visit the city of Marrakech with a local guide. Among the places to visit are the Bahia Palace and the Yamaa Square, with its snake charmers, musicians, dancers, storytellers, fortune tellers, actors and fortune tellers. Also noteworthy are the Saadian tombs, the souks and the Koutoubia Mosque. Free afternoon and night in a charming riad.
Day 7 : MARRAKECH – TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
After breakfast and at the indicated time we will transfer you to the airport. End of our services and our tour of Morocco. Happy flight!
